EU Birds Directive – all wild birds are protected throughout the state.

  • Deer species
  • Hare species
  • Hedgehog
  • Otter
  • Pine Marten
  • Pygmy Shrew
  • Red Squirrel
  • Stoat

Marine Mammals:

  • Dolphin species
  • Porpoise species
  • Seal species
  • Whale species

Reptiles:

  • Common lizard
  • Marine Turtle species

Amphibians:

  • Common frog
  • Common newt
  • Natterjack Toad

Invertebrates:

  • Kerry Slug
  • Freshwater Crayfish
  • Freshwater Pearl Mussel
