8th September 2002 Announcing details for The International supporters attending The Liberty and Livelihood March in the U.K. on September 22, the Chairman of Countryside Ireland Mr David Wilkinson is urging as many people as possible to attend this important demonstration. The bitter debate on hunting in the U.K is being urged on by the International animal rights movement and we in this mainly rural country should be alarmed by the systematic targeting of different field sports by these groups. If hunting were to be banned in The U.K we would immediately see the spotlight turn to Ireland and other countries across Europe. Mr Wilkinson stated that we will be joining people from across the world at our international meeting point, which will be at The Band Stand. Hyde Park Corner at 11.00 hrs and will be moving off at 11.30. Please remember that there will be delays and congestion with the transport system as this vast army moves into London, so allow plenty of time to get to our rendezvous point. Countryside Ireland will be providing some banners but are advising those travelling to bring their own flags and banners to show strong International support at this march against unwarranted interference of the U.K countryside.
